PARTICIPATE IN THE EFFORT TO FIND THE CAUSE FOR CANCER IN DOGS AND PEOPLE

DOES YOUR DOG HAVE CANCER OR DOES YOUR VET SUSPECT YOUR DOG HAS CANCER?
Assist CHCC, an alliance of researchers, working under a federally funded grant from the NIH/National Cancer Institute to target biomechanical causes of cancer. DNA of dogs affected with cancer varies from those who are not affected. DNA samples are needed for study as the Institute does NOT keep dogs for this research. Public participation is needed. DNA samples are requested from dogs suspected or diagnosed with cancer. Mouth swabs or blood will be drawn to study your dog's DNA. If your dog has surgery for removal of a cancerous growth, a collection kit will be provided for your veterinarian. The euthanasia process does not affect your dog's DNA, therefore, specimens from dogs euthanised due to cancer are also requested.
